Here are our first three events: May 10th: Free Marigolds for Mothers, as we head into Mother's Day weekend! Chuck Hefferun of Evergreen Nursery has been working on this treat since February. May 24th: Ask A Farmer: Memorial Day weekend is a traditional planting day for many. Our farmers and growers will be available to answer your questions about veggies, annuals, perennials, and more. There will be books to browse, and seedlings you can take home to put in the ground: It doesn't get more local than your own back yard! June 21st: Herbal Day. Mix your own herbal oil for culinary or medicinal use. Chefs flavor their salad dressings and fried dishes with herbal olive oil - you can too! If you prefer, mix an oil to relieve dry skin or soothe sore muscles: Lorna of The Medicine Wheel will be on hand to assist you! Our mission is to increase access to fresh, local, nourishing and safe foods. We provide a quality market where area farmers, bakers and artisans sell their produce and product direct to customers. Our market stimulates community activity in the village of North Berwick and fosters interest and awareness of sustainable agriculture. |
